How It Protects

When rain strikes the building or moisture is present, water forms beads that run off naturally and intrusion is prevented; because the capillary pores of the base material remain open, dampness within the wall can still escape through the waterproof layer without obstruction. The building wall is thus both waterproof and vapor-permeable, remaining intact and attractive.

Features

The material provides excellent waterproofing, damp-proofing, mold resistance, anti-fouling, salt-efflorescence resistance, acid-rain resistance and weathering resistance. Compared with similar domestic products it offers superior impermeability, durability and service life, effectively preserves the original appearance of façades, is easy to apply over a wide range of uses, and its waterproof effect is permanent.

Scope

Widely used on all kinds of exterior walls, classical gardens, computer rooms and library/archive rooms. It particularly solves warehouse and pitched-roof waterproofing and anti-seepage, waterproofing, anti-fouling, color retention and anti-efflorescence on ancient buildings, stone tablets, tile, mosaic, marble and granite finishes, as well as leakage from tiled walls, housing and other buildings.

Specifications

Transparent or slightly yellow liquid with a density of about 0.8 g/cm3 at 20 C. No change after 5 hours at 100 +/- 2 C; specimens show no cracking after 2 hours at -30 +/- 2 C and waterproofing is unchanged; in the bead test five beads do not penetrate within 2 hours. The solution is volatile and is classed and packed as a flammable product.

Application and Safety

Clean dust from the surface; it must be dry and free of dirt. Cracks wider than 1 mm are repaired with a dedicated repair compound or other sealant. Dilute one part Type I concentrate with ten parts diluent (gasoline or alcohol), mix thoroughly, and spray or brush two to three coats. One liter of concentrate covers 30 to 40 square meters over two coats.

  • Several coats may be applied in succession; take strict fire-prevention measures.
  • Do not clean walls with acidic chemicals, which reduce waterproof performance.
  • Store in a cool, ventilated place; shelf life one year.
  • Keep far from ignition sources; do not smoke during application.
